Hey Folks, Am thinking of purchasing AMember Pro for a client's website and have some questions based on functionality we need. (1) We're going to be using my client's existing cart system to sell our memberships, as the cart system supports an affiliate program and this is critical to her business. Is there therefore any way to bypass the whole payment component in AMember Pro and just have folks just register -- no payment info required? (2) We're going to be importing 1,200 existing members into the new membership system. Some of these will get memberships that are not offered to new customers. Is it possible to create different membership types that can be applied/seen only for the administrator? (e.g., all new customers get offered one-year memberships, but some imported customers get 45-day memberships and others get lifetime memberships that aren't publicly available on sign-up for new members). (3) Can we specify different membership reminders/autoresponders for different membership types? (One-year members get one message, 45-day members get another?) Thanks, Anthony
Another Question: Importing Existing Members Another quick question: I was searching the manual about importing existing members, but there's no mention of this (at least when searching for import, importing, etc.). I assume this can be done, yes? My client's 1,200 members will be moving over from an app she's using called Site Interactive. Am assuming they have the ability to export the members from that system. Has anyone specifically ported over from that app? Is there any info available online about importing members in general?
Of course, just click aMember Cp->Import. It can accept any text (comma-separated) file, so import is easy.
