I was wondering if there is a way to do this. Basically I want to have my "prospects" list through aweber, but when they sign up for amember membership, I want them to be unsubbed from the aweber "prospect" list. Possible?
There is a plugin floating around that does this and you would need to contact amember about it- officially, aweber does not allow any automated subscribe/unsubscribe by unknown 3rd party sites. This leaves you with placing an aweber form on the amember thanks.html page. David
There is a method to unsubscribe a user from your own AWeber list using a specially formatted email message. Please read the KB article linked below for specifics, but basically you need to have aMember send an automated email from a pre-registered email address (read the article) that is formatted something like To: yourlistname@aweber.com Subject: REMOVE#users@emailaddress.com#CategoryTag That would remove "users@emailaddress.com" from "yourlistname" and tag it with whatever you put into "CategoryTag" So you need aMember to generate and mail this formatted email to yourlistname@aweber.com Not sure exactly how to do that as I didn't look into it, but I came across the article linked below when I was looking for something else today. Please read the article before attempting =) http://ww.aweber.com/faq/questions/62/Can I Unsubscribe People Via Email?
A member of mine released a new aweber plugin that will handle subscribes unsubscribes etc.. aMail - Aweber plugin My premium members get a $30 discount David
I think the original Aweber plugin from aMember also handles unsubscribes like the way radmoose describes it. You might want to log a support ticket to check with them. Lee
