?

Would you like to be able to update aMember without re-editing templates?

    Hello,
I want to say that I do love aMember Pro and own two subscriptions for the software... BUT...

I have a highly modified signup.html & member.html file and with each "update" from 3.0.3 to 3.0.4 to 3.0.5 to 3.0.6 I am getting NEW .html template file and having to re-edit all the MANY customizations each time. This is driving me crazy!! Do I need to change signup.html this time from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6 or can I use my old version of this template file? If I need to change it AGAIN is there any way to make a system to correct this in the future? Each time a new release comes out it costs me $$ (or time which is even more valuable) to have the page changed.

    Please advise.

Specially for 3.0.3 -> 3.0.6 there was nothing serious changed in templates, so you can keep your modified templates. I believe 3.0.6 or next 3.0.7 will become stable for long time, as we start work on new 3.1.x (beta) branch next week.

I understand it is not easy to modify templates each time, but I hope you also understand we cannot keep little bugs in templates not fixed.

Maybe in the future a "template update script" might help? Something to let the user know what changes need to be made to their current script... What AMEMBER code needs to be removed (that is found), what code needs to be updated, and added...

It is unavoidable, I am very happy with the way things are run now, I create a lot of templates for a lot of sites and trust me it could be far worse.
