I have went into amember CP and have set uo test user. I manually gave the test user a 1 day membership, checked the Yes tick for paid, and i also, checked the completed tick box. when i log in using my username and password, i am being sent to "your membership information" page. it is asking me to pick a membership type and payment system. why can't i get to my protective webpages for my members? thanks matt
Look to the left under the heading og YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS and you will see a link to their protected pages. This is done for users that have multiple products/subscriptions, to allow them to choose where they wish to go
under "your subscriptions" i see membership but it is not a link. when i click on it nothing happens. i went to protective folders under cp admin and my protective webpage is there. what am i doing wrong. thanks
Have you got an actual PRODUCT created? To create a subscription type or product you first need to set up protected directory/ies THEN set up a product and link the directories to that
thanks for the help. i got it set up, but now when i sign in, my the webpage looks like this below. Index of /Paying Member Trial Name Last modified Size Description Parent Directory 22-May-2008 08:04 - Index.html 22-May-2008 08:35 15k dublinmembersite.html 22-May-2008 08:14 15k Apache/1.3.41 Server at Port 80 Can you help me one more time? thanks
In your product setup in control panel for your lotto product what have you got written as the URL? On a closer look I think you need to change (Index.html) to (index.html) in the protected directory as Unix regards these as two very different files. Also your protected directory isnt protected as I could look at the files. If you wish me to set it up for you and detail to you what I did then email me at editor AT packedlaunch DOT com with admin name and password. However after Ive set it up for you don't forget to change the password
another thing. what did you change in the cp admin, so i can keep it in my records. Because i might need to do it to another website in the future. thanks
Its all documented in the email I sent you And no I have a marketing company based in California with around 100 sites, I am also a civilian IT contractor to Aust. Defence Dept
Thanks for the email. I, also, edited the email address above. Question: So my directories files are protected so know one can look at them? Correct
Hopefully, the last couple of questions. When I login into amember Cp and go to Manage Products and click on it. Underneath "Products/Subscriptions Types List" the URL's for my paying members is located here. When I click on the each of the URL's, it sends me to the webpages I want my paying members to see. At the top of this webpage browser, i copy the URL and Logout and it sends me back to the homepage which it is suppose to do. BUT when i paste the url i copied earlier into a new browser and click enter. It bypasses the login and sends me straight to the webpages of my paying members. Shouldn't it redirect back to the login?
Sorry Danny, I didnt quite understand what you are asking. Can you email me with specific url details and more in depth detail of your question.
