    Hi there,

I'm about to move the site that we built over to Hostgator. Other than going through the normal migration process with Hostgator, is there anything I should do/prep or be aware of on the aMember end to ensure an smooth and easy transition?

    I'm running 4.1.15.

Thank you for the heads up and continued support.

After move you have to reset protection for files and folders because there will be old unix path in htaccess files and in database.

When you say 'reset' protection for files and folders . . . what does that entail. Step wise.
What do I need to edit in our (aMember) htaccess files?
What do I need to edit in our database.

Go to aMember CP -> Protect Content and delete protection, then set it again.

Hi Alex, Hostgator completed the migration. However whenever I try to access the aMember dashboard to delete protection then set it again it is not granting me access at all. It just loads a message on our site that says 'this page does not exist anymore'.

How do I get back in there? Please help.

Hi. I got access back to the aMember dashboard after editing the htaccess file via ftp. But, that was a little scary . . . not even being able to get into my dashboard.
