Okay. This may seem whacked but here goes.

Two companies. One has a website--us. The other has a database that we are selling through our site.

When people want to access this database, they hit an order button and it goes straight to Paypal. No Amember involved. The buttons have variables in them that need to be there that I cant pass in Amember paypal plugin...no fields for it.

So when person pays, they pay our Paypal account but the IPN goes to the other companies url. They process it and assign the payer a login and password for database. The IPN, login user and pass are sent back to us and is imported automatically into Amember.

    Questions:

1.The thing is, is that the Amember's email system doesnt seem to recognize an imported member? How do we get it to?

2.Under product configuration there is a customized email, will this go out if someone is imported into database?

3.Since everything is done outside of Amember with Paypal...Im assuming renewals, cancellations and the like are to be manually handled by customer in their account. The only benefit amember provides customer is to keep track of products subscribed to or bought. Or am I missing something?

    Please advise. thanks!

    1. Email functions are disabled on Import. So after inport you need to use aMember CP -> Email users in order to sent welcome message to imported users.
    2. Yes this will work.
    3. Yes you right.
