Translation getting deleted every time I update English product description

    I have products with both English and Spanish translations. If I make any kind of update to the English ('master') product description, it deletes the Spanish translation completely that I have already entered and re-sets it to the "new" English translation.

    This is quite frustrating as I am trying to format HTML/CSS descriptions including product images, so I keep losing my translated version (which is formatted differently, and contains a different description to the English version anyway).

    My product descriptions are quite long, and I sometimes find things like punctuation errors in the English so I don't want to keep losing my Spanish product description if I add a space or full stop to the English.

    Is this correct behaviour or a possible bug?

    Hello,

    It is correct behaviour because of translation is linked to literal title of your product (not to product). In case you change title link is broken.

    I agree with you that it is confusing. I think we should find some workaround for such case and implement it.
