Unable to access Amember after upgrade

    After upgrading to a newer version of Amember I and all members of my site have been unable to access the program. We simply receive the message "You don't have permission to access /amember/admin/index.php on this server." I sent several requests via a support ticket and received this note:

    "File upgrade_db.php (and all other files) should be 644. Folder /admin should have 755 permissions."

    I made those changes, but that has not helped. In the meantime several days have passed and have not received any more responses from the support staff. Please help me - and everyone else on the site - re-gain access to the program!

    (I promise I won't make any more upgrades to Amember, if only I can restore the program to its working condition before I tried to do that!)
