I have sent a few emails out in text format to my 8000 customers as a login reminder and included the username & password database varibale so everyone received their own information. Well, wouldn't cha know, I got a half dozen complaints that I'm sending unsecured account information in text format to them. Some actually thought I sent their info to all members. Are there any realistsic concerns about sending these emails? I mean, yeah, if it was a credit card or bank account, I'd be concerened, but a $20 membership?
If they are using for $20 membership site the same passwords as to PayPal, FTP, etc., then it is an actual problem! And it does not matter if you email them these passwords or not.
