I have a site that uses amember and I have all the integration working. It is basically designed to be an 'upsell' type site. We give them a free subscription that allows the users access to some content, then once they are free members, they are able to upgrade their membership from within to access the paid content.

Everything 'works'. The only issue is that when users upgrade to the paid membership, they have to log out and log back in for the content to be displayed. It looks like it is a Joomla integration error. I assume that it is because when a user logs in via the joomla login component it is integrated with amember and gets the permissions based on the time of their login. Is there any way to force an update of the session variables after a user is already logged in so that newly subscribed content will be immediately available?

    TIA----

    Just a thought:
Have you tried using aMember's login module for Joomla (this replaces Joomla's native module, and it is available for download from the Cutomer pages up top)? aMem's module "should" solve your problem without attempting to modify the various session variables and cookies.
