I plan to upgrade from 3.1.2 to 3.1.6. I installed Amember myself, and have a off the shelf installation (no customizations except mods to the email templates in the CPanel).

Have you experienced any issues upgrading? It appears straight forward, and I will backup my database and Amember files beforehand. That said, I wanted to get some feedback from those of you in the trenches.

    Thanks!

    Hey Simon,

    Yes, the upgrades go well.

Just remember not to overwrite your customizations ;)

The only way the upgrade process could go any smoother is if the script fetched the new files from cgi-central's website itself.

Otherwise, just upload the files, run the upgrade script (upgrade_db.php) and you're done.

And yeah, make sure none of the uploaded files will overwrite your modifications. That's why it's ALWAYS a good idea to back up your files before any upgrade process.
