**Sorry if this is better suited to Integration - couldn't decide which board made more sense **

Hi folks, I am building a site that will use amember to protect both Mambo and vBulletin. The Mambo part is set up and working great. However I'm having problems with the vbulletin add-on.

    - amember and mambo share a database, with different prefixes mam_ and amember_
    - vbulletin is a different database.

The problem is in the username. Given my hosting platform (Plesk), each database is owned by a different username. Although I have placed the correct username in the amember config, it's still trying to use the "main" database username. ??Bug??

Also, I can either build vbulletin as forum.domain.com, or as www.domain.com/forum. Will it work both ways? I would prefer forum.domain.com so if the load gets too high I can separate the forum onto its own box.

Any help appreciated. I"ve already put a support request in.

    TIA,

    BP

You may contact support via helpdesk for updated plugin that supports different username/password for plugin database.

It doesn't make sense which URL do you choose.
