Hi Folks, I have aMember up and running now and I have three affiliates who have generated nearly 125 clicks to my site. I find it strange however that not one of those generated a sale/credit for the affiliates. So my question is about whether my setup is causing the issue or I they truly didn't generate sales. Here's my setup: 1. I do not show any products on my sign-up page - the only product available at sign-up is the free product which they get once the account goes active. 2. All of my products are set to give 20% commission on first payment, 0 on second payment (all my products are one-time-payment only anyway). 3. I have my affiliate cookie timer set to 30 days. So I was wondering if the affiliate only gets credit for the first purchase the customer makes, in my case that would always be the free product. Subsequent purcases are then negated? Eek I hope not. Any insights into how this works would be great. I want my affiliates getting credit for these sales, but the question that arises is, at what point does the credit stop? If the user signs up on Monday and gets the free product. Then on Tuesday buys product 1 for $10. Then on Wednesday buys product 2 for $10. Does the affiliate get credit? And one which day does credit stop?
No, he will get commissions for every purchase made by customer for lifetime, if customer signed up on your website within 30 days after clicking the affiliate link.
