Verisign vs. Linkpoint? Are there any significant functional differences between using Verisign Payflow Pro vs. Linkpoint API? We want to process recurring payments and we don't want to store CC #s on our site. Any comments about either companies software, service and support? We'd like to use Verisign Payflow, Pro so we can stay with our current processor and get the Verisign branding but Verisign comes a $30-$40/mo premium. Also, any comments about Verisign SSL which is over twice as expensive as completion? We are excited about our transition to aMemberPro and we want to make the transition as smooth as possible! Thanks in advance! Jason Ball
With aMember and VeriSign there are no ways to handle recurring transactions and don't store credit card info on your site. PayFlow Link doesn't allow to process recurring transactions (I know it allows, but without any automation - everything must be done manually). PayFlow Pro will require you to have SSL certificate and store credit card info on your site. I believe VeriSign SSL is overpriced. There are lot cheaper alternatives : http://www.ev1servers.net/english/starterssldetails.asp http://www.ev1servers.net/english/quickssldetails.asp
LinkPoint Recurring Payments Thanks for your quick reply Alex! Just to confirm, aMemberPro can work with LinkPoint-API to process recurring Payments. The recurring Payments are scheduled on Linkpoints end, so that aMemberPro does not have to store cc#'s in its Database, Right? Can the customer can cancel his subscription in aMemberPro, and aMemberPro will then cancel the recurring payment set up with Linkpoint? Can aMember Pro capture the and store CC expiration dates, so that we can manually e-mail and warn customer who have cards that are about to expire? (or can aMemberPro do this automaticlly now?) We are excited about adding aMemberPro's functionality to our site! Thanks again, Jason Ball
No, unfortunately, this mode of operation is not supported with LinkPoint. It is supported for PayPal, 2Checkout, WorldPay and some other payment processors.
1)So, LinkPoint_API supports rucurring payments, but you must store CC#'s in aMemberPro. Right? 2) This is true with Authorize.net as well, Right? PayPal is a problem because it requires a PayPal account. 2Checkout is 2 expensive because of its cc discount rate. We are waiting on a responce from WorldPay..... Thanks Again for your help! We look forward to implementing aMemberPro once we get our Gateway figured out. Jason
