I'm in the process of designing a Joomla based site for a client and want to purchase aMember. Sure I'll have many more questions down the road...but first, what exactly do I need to buy? Do I purchase "aMember Pro ($139.95)" AND the "Joomla plugin ($40.00)"? OR, just the Joomla plugin for $40 if I'm only using it for Joomla? Thanks in advance for all your help!
You need both aMember and Joomla plugin. Make sure you understand how it works before order, please have a look: http://www.amember.com/p/Integration Your users will have to signup in aMember (instead of Joomla), then they will be added to Joomla. aMember does not become a part or a plugin for Joomla.
thanks Alex! yea, that plugin sounds fine...i think its just what i need. what i'm doing is just making a homepage and a few interior pages in joomla. very, very simply set up...i just want to use aMember as a gateway to the interior pages that are for paid users only. so would you recommend using joomla to set up membership groups (for the paid users) and assigning my pages as only accessable to them? doing that in joomla instead of aMember? thanks again in advance for all your help!
