    Hi,

We've been using phpBB for ages now, but seeing as we're moving over to amember, i thought maybe we might change to another package that works seamlessly with amember.

I'm not too bothered about price, just features and ease of use and ease of customisation.

    eg.

I don't want to have to embed my templates in php code before viewing them or anything.

I want to have lots of features and easy customisation

I want to be able to extract the user's amember data from within the forum.
(eg. place a link next to a user in the forum so you can go to a special profile page i create using my own data on the user i have stored in another database)

The package splugin should be stable with easy integration and easy to use
(as easy as amember is to setup :) )

    any ideas?

    Thanks

Both vBulletin and Invison Board are great bulletin boards, I can recommend both. As you can see, I prefer vBulletin.

Regarding other things - not sure if everything you described is supported and possible without coding.

phpbb is nice, it used to have security problems but I think the phpbb team has cleaned that up quite a bit.

Just try it out on this host and make your opinion : create forum
