In the CP I have spaces enabled for usernames. However, I still get an error when I try to create a username with spaces. Is this a bug that no one has fixed yet? Is there a way around it? I'm mainly trying to allow usernames that are first/last names in aMember so that when the usernames are pulled into vBulletin, the usernames are reconizable as the person's real name. I don't like that I can't use first/last names in vBulletin, so this is my only way around it that I can think of.
1) What version of aMember are you running? 2) What version of vBulletin and the aMember<-> vBulletin plugin are you running? 3) Are you running any other plugins? 4) What is the exact error you get during registration? 5) Does the error happen if you disable the vBulletin plugin?
1) I'm running aMember 3.1.8PRO 2) I'm running vBulletin 3.8.3. As for the vBulletin plugin, I'm not sure the version, other than it says vBulletin3, but I purchased it less than a month ago, so I assume it's the latest edition. 3) I'm not running any other purchased plugins other than the vBulletin3 plugin. I do have paypal_r and the protect plugins aMember enabled to protect my folders. 4) I get the error when I try to change my username in my profile (which I CAN do if I don't include spaces in the username). This is the error: "Please enter correct username: Please enter correct login. It must contain at least 4 letters, digits or _". I haven't tried doing it in a new registration, but I'd think I'd get the same error. 5) Yes, I still get the same error, even when disabling the vBulletin3 plugin.
Strange, I don't have the problem with 3.1.8 pro with the disallow space checked. Which user id are you testing with? Is it possible that something else, besides the username, is being rejected? Do you have the problem with the aMember demo site: http://www.amember.com/p/Main/Demo
