Why do customers have to log in again before they buy

    I'm using the latest version of 3.2x

    This is driving me - and customers - crazy.

    I'm embedding a coupon in the cart URL. They are required to login again before completing the cart information - which seems stupid, since they are probably already logged in to see the cart info with the coupon embedded anyway. But when they do, the coupon is gone on the next screen.

    Why do they have to login again? How can I change this?
