Why do I have to manually allow memberships

    On testing the software I sign up. It goes fine takes me to membership page where product links are supposed to be. Now, in admin panel they show the new signup but it says EXPIRED. I then have to manually change it to active to allow access. Why is it defaulting to that? I Want them to be able to go directly to any member area. It is a free subscription product.

    Go to Setup/Configuration > Advanced > Manually Approve New Members and uncheck the box.

    The problem seems to be in product settings. What you set for product price/period and trial price/period?
