Now that it has been released officially, this thread is to centralize discussion around the use of Amember with Wordpress 2.5. What we know so far is that the password hashing plugin is a requirement: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/md5-password-hashes/ Has anyone else started testing the Amember plugin to see how things work?
I will start a website/blog using amember with wordpress soon but I dunno if I will use 2.3.3 version or 2.5. But I imagine that a new version of the plugins for wordpress will be released soon....
Note I have not verified the password hashing plugin will allow amember and it's wordpress plugin to work.
So Someone could confirm me that the wordpress plugins works withtout any problems under wordpress 2.5 ? Does the plug ins has been updated, I have installed it since more than one month ?
Yes it does work with 2.5.1, you need to get the very very latest plugin from amember- you may need to send a support ticket to get it. David
Thanks to you David. I have make a request. But if there any way to be informed about the next updtate?
No, this is an amember weakness- they are not very good at self promotion etc... You'll probably only get an email for a security upgrade. David
Hello. I've been searching the threads on integration of wordpress 2.5.1 and amember. I don't want to allow commenting and don't need the plugin (that's what I've been lead to believe). After protecting the wordpress directory (called member), I'm not able to login to the Wordpress home page I previously created and have lost its original formatting. I receive 500 Internal Server Error I've changed the secret key in wp-config and added it to amember config. I've added amember db user to wp db. thank you
Sounds like an error in your .htaccess file. If you delete the folder protection, can you get in again? David
Thanks. I deleted the folder protection but still not able to login. I changed permissions on data and new-rewrite folders to 707 thinking this may have something to do with it - but no. I used new_rewrite as folder protection. Lynn
