This is probably one for David.

The ma-amember widget login doesn't seem to work for expired users. Paid up subscribers work great.

When an expired user logs in, it goes through the login process, then takes them back to the amember_redirect_url instead of to the members page.

When they get to the amember_redirect_url, the login box is prompted again (because there is no logged in user). There is no clue or message that the subscription is expired, it just looks like they can't login.

This happens in WP2.6.4 with amember 3.1.4PRO

    Anyone have a fix?

    Cheers
    Rob

The version thats included in the plugin amember distributes used the
wordpress login to check if the user was active.
Are your expired subscribers downgraded to a lower statis- like free?

My new version uses the amember session, so its based on amember logins, which are good even when expired. This is available to my premium members.

Yes, the plugin default is set to the lowest user role (i.e. level 0, read_only).

Hmm, that's great, but I'd rather get the version I already paid $40 for working right...

How is the version supplied supposed to handle expired users?

    Thanks
    Rob

Not to worry - I updated my version to use the amember credentials; so all is good.
